Darkmatter2525: People abuse the word “God” in conversation. If people used a proper name instead of saying “God” then it wouldn’t be assumed everyone is talking about their personal version. “I don’t believe in Zeus” doesn’t sound so strange to them. Neither would “I don’t believe in Yahweh
Apologists get a lot of mileage by pretending that they’re arguing for deism, because they co-opted the word “God” as the name for their deity. That’s wrong. He’s Yahweh. He’s a specific character who evolved in stories told throughout history, same as all the other deities.
